While it's important to support smoke-free bars & restaurants, its also important to create alternative social spaces that are smoke-free AND help very diverse people get their needs for fun, community, wellness, and creativity met abundantly. Thanks for helping us expand the diversity of our upcoming Men's Music, Movement, Massage, & Meditation event on 2/24.
25 men, including several in wheelchairs, several men of color, and a wide range of ages & orientations, have already registered for this amazing exploration of authentic movement and authentic connection for men. We have 15 remaining spaces in this event, and hope you’ll help us dramatically expand the diversity of men who get invited by forwarding this email to the men you care about or respect.
Men of all abilities, ages, sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, and backgrounds (including trans guys) will gather in a smoke, alcohol, drug free space that is wheel-chair accessible. We will explore more authentic, healing connections with ourselves and other men through music, authentic movement, deep relaxation, contact improv, guided meditation, danceability, ecstatic dance, healing touch/massage, and/or free-style movement and touch.
Each of us will be invited to get in touch with our own needs for rest, healing, and nurturing -- and to move and touch in ways that meet those needs authentically. We will keep our focus on healing and nurturing ourselves first and others as a function of the abundance we feel when we are taking care of ourselves. To keep the space safe for all kinds of men, there will be no genital or anal touching, no asking people out for dates, no sexual come-ons, and everyone will keep their comfortable clothes on (if you want a back massage, you can lift up your shirt for this).
Thanks again for helping us to welcome all kinds of men by forwarding this email to the diverse men you care about. Don’t forget the astonishing power of music, movement, healing touch, and meditation to refresh your spirit and free your heart.
Featuring
* DJ DandyLion;
* DJ Keer (who also will facilitate our altar building);
* Felix Roth, LMT, founder of Motion Massage & co-founder of Sacred Circle Dance;
* Curtis Walker, Director, Impetus Arts (mixed-abilities movement);
* Bart Church, Zen Shiatsu Practitioner & yoga teacher.
